Where Mind Meets Muscle
Helping Athletes, First Responders, and other High Performers Regulate Emotions and Reduce Stress using Creative Movement in Houston, Texas
You train hard. You work harder. You show up. You're the one who gets it done no matter the circumstance. From the outside, you're crushing it.
But - you’re always mad. Sleep comes and goes. Stress is showing up in your shoulders, your appetite, your patience. What used to feel easy now comes slower, or not at all. You've started to suspect it's all connected.
It is.
You’re burnt-out from being burnt-out. You want to be able to stop reacting to everything like an exposed nerve. You’d like to let loose more often and bring back your playful, creative side. Some daily movement would be awesome, and some real sleep would be even better - but how? Some days, it’s exhausting to even think about.
If you’re wanting to improve your lifestyle and get the level of mental health support you need while making it happen - this is where you get started.
Sapo Wellness rolls movement, mindset, nutrition, and nervous system work into one program with one specialist who helps you make the most of your lifestyle.
Less juggling. Less translation. More carrying on without carrying everything.
Let’s see if we’re a good fit. Get started by scheduling a call!
The Approach
Sasha Portillo, MS, MS, LPC-Associate, CSCS
Movement is an underutilized tool for mental health.
Movement is not just exercise. It can be integrated into your daily life in many ways and allows you to connect to yourself in surprising ways.
When you work with me, you get connected from top to bottom. We speak with your cognitive, logical side, building awareness and skills. Then, find creative ways to move your body to complete stress cycles and release trapped emotions.
This approach targets whole-body health and allows for more progress to occur simultaneously, with less likelihood of re-traumatization. It’s nervous system regulation, stress management, expanding window of tolerance, getting rid of anger, anxiety - all at once - without losing your edge.
In fact, you’ll refine it.
Learn how to use creative forms of movement and expression to build acceptance, boundaries, and more control in your life while opening up more space for you to play.
